The North American Deer Slam Club scoring system, also referred to as the Parker scoring system is unique to us.  There are the Boone & Crockett system, the Safari Club International system, and others.

The Parker scoring system is unique in the fact that it emphasis mass versus wideth.  B&C and SCI both have a wideth credit that is added to the total antler length.  Parker system doesn't do that.  Instead we take the regular mass score, double it, and add it to the total antler length, there is no spread credit.  In the average B&C system mass is usually about 20% of the total score.  In the Parker system the mass is about double that or near 36% of the total score.
